Is Blunt the Fourth Man (1985) PD ? It has had numerous vhs and dvd releases, and USCO shows no registrations until 2005 twenty years later so, lets face it; i'm confused!

It was originally shown in the UK in 1985 and not shown in the US until 1987. So, while it was PD in the US for a while (no copyright notice or registration) it is now protected by a GATT/URAA copyright restoration.

Thanks. Now we know that all of these "public domain" DVDs of the movie out there are bootleg.

Most likely, the copyright registration is for packaging (the DVD artwork) so this movie is public domain.
